Good spot in a nice area, near the lovely gardens and an island. Staff knows their stuff, and the king room has AC. 🌳

Liked the easy email booking system that went quickly to reception, to no hassles booking in . Liked the reduction to $140 - have stayed twice at that price - if more expensive, would have gone elsewhere. Loved the garden, nice and peaceful. Sorry to see the elements of earthquake damage - but all seemed to be under control in a no-fuss way

The hotel had a central setting within walking distance of the Saturday Farmer's Market another nice activity. Got tastefully decorated deluxe room where water was supplied when arrived, loved that.

My room was decent sized and modern, provided with all the comforts. Nice views over the garden and a balcony. - the staff were very welcoming and exceptional people.

Hi, we were treated to a night away by our son for our wedding anniversary. Having stopped there before we were quiite happy to come again. It is a nicely laid out reasonably large hotel. The breakfast we had was very reasonable for price and much appreciated. Altogether a lovely night away. Mike Hill, Whitecliffs

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. I had brought my in-laws from the UK on a visit to NZ and it makes me very proud to be a kiwi when I receive such friendly service.

Rooms were a little dated and could probabaly do with being renovated in the near future.

My favourite property in Christchurch. A wide range of food at breakfast, including bangers and bacon. - Well-appointed rooms. - the staff - excellent and amazingly friendly. - Central location, a brilliant base for discovering Christchurch. - Walking distance to shopping centres and the Farmer's market across the street.

We have stayed at the Chateau many times but not since the big earthquake it was lovely being back at our fav hotel. Will be even better once all the repairs are done.

Chateau is directly opposite Hagley Park and with cheap bicycle hire we were able to get to all the activities occuring in the Park as part of the Arts festival without the hassles of taxi's or parking. The staff are wonderful and the rooms comfortable. Its proximity to everything was a bonus!

The rooms were a good size, and the view of a wild garden outside was amazing. 🌿 the staff here were really helpful and professional, which was great.

The hotel is gorgeous and in a magnificent location near public transport. the breakfast was sensational. - the room was neat, functional, and the bed was very comfy. - the decoration gave a cozy feel. - I truly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this place.

The frontdesk staff is very helpful & informative!

There were hairs in our bathroom which was disgusting. The central atrium area looks terrible. The pond etc needs an urgent tidy up. The whole place feels tired and in need of a revamp.
